Need A Neighbor is an online platform that connects individuals seeking help with tasks (“Job Posters”) and individuals offering assistance (“Job Seekers”).

We are not a party to any agreement between users.

3. No Employment or Agency Relationship

Use of this platform does not create:

  • An employer-employee relationship
  • A contractor-subcontractor relationship
  • A partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship

All users act independently and at their own risk.

4. User Responsibilities

Job Posters agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete job descriptions
  • Verify the qualifications of Job Seekers
  • Ensure a safe working environment
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws

Job Seekers agree to:

  • Provide truthful information about skills and experience
  • Perform services safely and responsibly
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. No Screening or Verification

Need A Neighbor does not:

  • Conduct background checks
  • Verify identity, licenses, or insurance
  • Guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any service

You are solely responsible for vetting other users.

6. Payments and Agreements

All payments, pricing, and agreements are made directly between users.

We:

  • Do not process payments
  • Do not set pricing
  • Are not responsible for disputes

7. Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Interacting with strangers involves inherent risks
  • You voluntarily assume all risks related to using this platform

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Property damage
  • Personal injury
  • Theft or misconduct
  • Unsatisfactory work

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Need A Neighbor shall not be liable for:

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of money, data, or property
  • Personal injury or death
  • Disputes between users

Your use of the platform is entirely at your own risk.

9. Indemnification

  • Trust their instincts and discontinue communication if something feels unsafe

In-Person Meetings

When meeting in person, users should:

  • Meet in a public place for the first interaction when possible
  • Inform a friend or family member of your plans
  • Avoid being alone in unfamiliar or unsafe environments

Payments & Financial Safety

Users agree to:

  • Avoid making full payment upfront, especially to unknown individuals
  • Use caution when handling cash transactions
  • Never send money through unsecured or untraceable methods

Property & Job Safety

Job Posters should:

  • Clearly explain job expectations and scope
  • Ensure the work environment is safe
  • Secure valuables and personal property

Job Seekers should:

  • Only accept work they are qualified to perform
  • Use appropriate safety precautions
  • Decline jobs that appear unsafe or illegal

Prohibited Behavior

Users may not:

  • Engage in harassment, threats, or intimidation
  • Request or perform illegal activities
  • Misrepresent identity, qualifications, or intent
  • Solicit or provide unsafe, unethical, or exploitative services

Platform Disclaimer

Need A Neighbor does not:

  • Supervise interactions between users
  • Provide safety guarantees
  • Conduct background checks or identity verification

All interactions are at your own risk.

We reserve the right to remove users or content that violate these guidelines.

18. Fees and Future Monetization

Need A Neighbor currently provides access to the platform at no cost. However, we reserve the right to introduce fees at any time for certain features or services.

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Fees for posting jobs
  • Fees for responding to or applying for jobs
  • Subscription or membership plans
  • Premium features or enhanced visibility listings

Notice of Fees

If fees are introduced:

  • We will provide reasonable notice prior to implementation
  • Fees will be clearly disclosed before you incur any charges

Your continued use of the platform after fees are introduced constitutes acceptance of those fees.

No Retroactive Charges

We will not charge fees retroactively for services that were previously offered for free.

  • All fees will be due as stated at the time of purchase
